Things to Do in New Mexico This Spring

Spring is the best time of year to get out and explore the many things to do in New Mexico. The comfortable weather makes for the perfect backdrop for affordable travel and day trips that involve exploring the Land of Enchantment's beautiful landscape and fun sites. If you're looking for spring activities in New Mexico this year, we at CreditBox have just the list for you.

Ghost Ranch

First up on our list of things to do in New Mexico this spring is visiting the famed Ghost Ranch. This stunning retreat sits on 21,000 acres, and it's famously known as the home of artist Georgia O'Keeffe. Whether you stay for a day or spend a few nights at Ghost Ranch, you can take tours, go hiking, explore on horseback, shop, and visit the museums, where you'll see everything from dinosaur fossils to Native American artifacts.

UNESCO World Heritage Sites

One way to enjoy affordable travel in New Mexico is to take a trip to one of the state's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. There are only 23 in the United States, and three of them are located in New Mexico. They include Taos Pueblo, a 13thand 14thcentury adobe settlement along the Rio Grande; Chaco Canyon, the remains of an ancient Puebloan village located in the northwestern portion of the state; and Carlsbad Caverns National Park, a series of 119 caves near the Guadalupe Mountains. All three UNESCO World Heritage Sites are unique educational opportunities for kids and adults alike.

Hot Springs

If you're looking for things to do in New Mexico that will help you relax, you can't go wrong with a day at one of the state's many hot springs. For centuries, Native Americans and Spanish explorers have claimed that the springs have healing powers. If you're up for a soak, consider Battleship Rock & McCauley Hot Springs (just be aware that clothing is optional), Spence Hot Springs, Turkey Creek Hot Springs (you have to hike to get here), or one of the many others located throughout the state.

Albuquerque Biological Park

If one of your favorite spring activities involves getting up close and personal with wildlife, consider a trip to the Albuquerque Biological Park. It's home to the Albuquerque Aquarium, a botanical garden, and the 64-acre Rio Grande Zoo. There's also Tingley Beach, a fishing lake where you can go boating, have picnics, and enjoy other activities. It's fun for the whole family and is affordable travel at its finest with four activities in one.

Don't stay home and miss out on the fun spring activities New Mexico has to offer. If you need a little extra cash to fund your trip, look no further than CreditBox. It's safe and easy to apply for an installment loan on the CreditBox website. What are you waiting for? Get started today.
